The other smart choice would have been EBGames, but perhaps that's a different breed of gamer? EBGames stores lack a lot of retail space to display and store this size of an item too. These things would fly off the shelf there, even in the middle of a pandemic. They should have just made a deal with Costco. How much does each piece cost us if we have someone else make it? And you know there would be a screw up or two, unless your name is Steamfitter or DRANO. Cabinet, glass, legs, casters, buttons, haptic feedback, speaker, electrical, side art, etc. All costs money if you were to make one on your own. I think you get a lot of value out of these machines, but more out of the AtGames. What you get if you always wanted to make a virtual machine. If I never played pinball before, or would have no intention of making this a virtual machine. It does come with two larger monitors, but like an idiot, I know I will wind up throwing them out to install larger ones. AtGames pinball is my favored right now. AtGames claims they will have future updates and more downloadable content at a price. If I could get some of the original Williams or other like quality that "pinballarcade" used to offer. Certainly this machine will be upgraded to have at least 1 larger monitor.ĪtGames: I've played all these pins before on tablets and phone and other (who hasn't?) Even though it has 22 games it feels too limited. Youtube Owners complain about haptic feedback being barely noticeable. I wonder if you could swap game boards out eventually? 11 Star Wars games or 10 Marvel games or 10 Williams games. How else am I ever going to play all these machines.unless HoneyBadger has an open house?Īrcade1up: Has great side art and much better games. I want to see if this is something that will entertain me for 30 minutes or for at least a couple years. The Brick (I absolutely loath this retailer) had the 1UP Arcade machines setup last time I was in there, so I am guessing they'll have the pinball machines setup this month (this is the month they release). I plan on playing one before making a final decision. You have a $100 television in there, $200 worth of wood, $50 metal legs, $100 in electronics, $100 for artwork, etc. For $799 (price from The Brick) it still seems like a decent buy. I'm still pretty impressed with the overall package, but the jaggedness of the pixels would definitely bother me, and the QC for the haptic definitely needs to be addressed. Sounds like there is a problem with the PCB that controls things. The other criticism is that the haptic feedback solenoids just stopped working. Maybe, just maybe I'd give them the benefit of the doubt between 480P and 1080P, but I would guess half would still get it wrong. Most people can't tell the difference between 720P and 1080P from 6' away. A lot of the reviewers blame this on the 720P resolution, but i don't know if I agree with that. The main criticism was that the tables look very pixelated. I have watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube about them. I was seriously scoping out the Marvel version of the 1UP Arcade Pinball. Yes, you know someone who can build X at Y size for Z price.I don't care.I want a review on this item, not a "homemade" one. I am actually thinking about it and hack it to add more tables, but at $900 (taxes in), they are not cheap. LAG.I expect a bit of lag, but how bad compared to the numerous vpin apps on your tv/tablet/pc flipper feel (I know that they have mechanisms to "feel" something rather than a "no feel" of a keyboard) graphics quality (not expecting 4K here, but better than my VGA monitor from 1995) "build quality" (I know it's a touchy subject, but does it feel like it'll fall apart when you do a gentle nudge? ) Size (are they too small to play or do you need a chair/bench) I know they are not the real thing, but my questions are mostly: I have seen numerous reviews about these, but was wondering if any of you have physically tried it, and your impressions after your experience.Īgain, I can read and see videos.don't need your opinion of what you think as per your reading/viewing. don't need your comments about the "validity" of these items nor their "quality" based on their mini arcades. First off, No bashing.just asking a question.
